FROM EVERYONE AT BEIT HALLEL

Aug 2007 Yeshua International's 17th Annual Conference, Bawtry, Yorks. The theme this year was 'THE SHEPHERD OF ISRAEL' THANKS TO EVERYONE who made this a great week-end. Especially to our UBMJC Teen co-ordinator Dani Greenberg Thornton and to Chris Thornton.

Aug 2007 Thorpe Park - A great day was had by all the teens who went on the trip to Thorpe Park, and by the adults and younger members of the Shul who tagged along! We had a bit of rain, but it didn't matter as we all got thoroughly soaked on the rides anyway!

Aug 2007 - The Delicate Power of Modesty!

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful.

I Kefa (Peter) 3 : 3-5

Thanks to Grace, our Shul Teen Co-ordinator, who led a seminar for Mums and their daughters and ladies of the shul. It was based on a book she had read whilst recently in Texas, USA. We all came away with the knowledge that Hashem has given us a 'delicate yet formidable power' and we now know how to use it to glorify Him!

MAZEL TOV June 2006

YESHUA 2006 25 - 28 August in Derby

One of the highlights of the Teens' year was, as always, the Annual week-end conference and this year was no exception!

and it was the 16th ANNUAL

and led by Rabbi. Dr. Ruth Fleischer.

Our UBMJC Teen Co-ordinator, Dani Greenberg-Thornton had a great programme for us. There were Teen seminars led by Danika and conference speakers, from the USA, as well as prayer and worship, chillin' and, oh yeah, PIZZA!

WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME. WE WOULD ESPECIALLY LIKE TO THANK RABBI DAVID & RABBITZEN HELENE ROSENBERG, USA & SUE & BRIAN SAMUELS, USA WHO CAME TO TALK TO US, & OF COURSE RABBI DR. RUTH FLEISCHER, DANI & CHRIS THORNTON & EVERYONE WHO MADE THE CONFERENCE SO SPECIAL!!!

2nd ANNUAL YOUTH RETREAT

for UBMJC Teens aged 13 - 19

This year's retreat ran from Monday 13th Feb 2006 to Wednesday 15th Feb 2006 in Arnesby, Leicestershire. The retreat was led by Dani Greenberg the UBMJC Youth Co-ordinator and this year we were also joined byMessianic Rabbinic Intern Dr. Julian Scott, who is Leader of Teshuvah Messianic Synagogue in Leicester.

"The thing about the teen retreat that most sticks out in my mind is all the talks we had, especially the talk about death.

The part that most affected my life was when we had the discussion about money matters. We now know how much we'll have to spend in a month when we go to university.

The best thing that happened was the "I just Can't Wait to be King" talk the different plays about Saul, David and Solomon were so funny. Overall the trip was a great success and I can't wait until next year. Thanks to Dani and Rabbi Julian for all the work they put into the retreat it was the best." - Katherine

Beit Hallel Teens would like to thank Dani & Rabbinic Intern Julian for the retreat.

YESHUA MINISTRIES' 15th ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL MESSIANIC CONFERENCE Derby, August 2005

Thankyou to Dani Greenberg our UBMJC Youth Co-ordinator, who led the Teens' programme at this year's conference, and to all the Rabbis from the UK & USA for their teaching and the time they spent with us!

Once again, we got together with teens from all over the UK for, great teaching, great worship and a great deal of fun. Old friendships were renewed & new ones were made! We eagerly await the 16th Conference in August 2006!!!

'NORTHAMPTONSHIRE 2005'

Beit Hallel Youth report...

“The youth retreat at the Frontier Centre in Irthlingborough was fantastic and a great opportunity to meet up with friends and make new ones. The inspirational teaching by Dani and Chris and the fun outdoor activities made these three days amazing as well as challenging. I thought that the rock climbing was the best activity.” – Grace

“The youth retreat was a great opportunity to meet with friends to build our relationships and to make new ones. We had great teachings that helped our spiritual growth, teachings that we can take and apply in our daily lives. We also had a chance to experience a high ropes course which was exhilarating and helped us to overcome fears and to build up confidence.” – Jess

“I enjoyed meeting new friends, building friendships and sharing time studying the Bible with other believers. It was helpful in guiding me as a believer and it was lots of fun trying new activities. It helped me build on my biblical knowledge and my faith as well as having a fab time.” – Miriam

“The thing that most stuck out in my mind was trying to conquer my fears of heights. The part that most affected my life was when we had the discussion time on the Monday evening and it helped me decide what I want to do with my life. The best things that happened were the activities and the teachings. Overall the trip was a great success and I can't wait until next year. Thanks to everyone at the Frontier Centre and to Dani and Chris.” – Katherine
